          At last we are here, in the long-anticipated Age of Aquarius, still a tumultuous time of transition as we shift away from the age of Pisces. The Ages are stamped with dynamics which define them. Aries was the Age of a jealous god of war, Pisces the age of blind faith and following a leader who taught love. Now we enter an Age where Knowledge will ultimately rule.

Aquarius is an Air sign. According to esoteric sciences, humanity had to first develop a physical body (Earth), then an emotional body (Water) and now it is time for the elevation of the mental body (Air); it is through the mental body that we are able to connect to our Higher Selves. Thus, it is expected that this is the Age when we raise this most rational part of ourselves to a higher level. Aquarius is the sign of Knowledge, “I Know!” as opposed to the sign of Pisces which was the Age of “I Don’t Know!” and thus we must operate on faith. Today, folk no longer buy into a “Trust in Faith” attitude. Now they want the facts, the science, the truth of human existence with all of its pain and beauty, its wounds and healing, its love and hatred. This is the Age when we begin to recognize how completely we are connected to one another, that it is inescapable. Modern science is finally agreeing with esoteric scientists that we, and everything else, are made up of nothing but waves and particles – How very Aquarian! – and if that is the case there can be no separation. Perhaps the phrase, “Come, follow me and I will make you fishers of men,” might now become, “Come, walk with me hand in hand and we shall all become as gods.”
